He answered&nbsp; 3. It reminds us He was and is, Jewish. A fact that is conveniently forgotten in today\u2019s teaching<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jesus\u2019 response was then, and remains today, a Hebraism. Jews like to answer questions with questions. As a response mechanism this is, in a very real sense, hard-wired. It reminds us of the old joke: a man asks a rabbi: \u201cWhy do Jews always answer a question with a question?\u201d The rabbi answers: \u201cDo we?\u201d Questions can be very powerful.
