unveiled faces

What does it mean to worship our Father with unveiled faces? Peter Sammons ponders the question.

2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV: “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” Wow! The first response as we look at this key verse is to be amazed at the truth it brings to us. First, what is its context? The verse is contained within a portion of 2 Corinthians that explores, and revels in, the New Covenant. Some point out that what we call the New Covenant might be better described as the ‘Renewed Covenant’, now that the “priestly” (or Moses’) covenant is extended to cover all who place their trust and faith in Jesus. That’s a discussion for another day! We shall park it for now!
