SWORD COMMUNITY: dance,dance, dance!
Using our bodies in worship is sadly neglected, but ultimately rewarding. Ask anyone who’s been to Foundations.
We have been blessed over the last few years to be associated with Ginnie White and her marvellous Sh’ma Kingdom Dancers. They have blessed so many people through their workshops and the evidence has been the number of people set free and empowered at our conferences through Hebraic dance.
To understand more about such dance let us first compare it with other forms of dance. Folk dancing is a social activity performed for personal enjoyment. Israeli dancing is a form of folk dancing with Hebraic elements, but again performed for personal enjoyment. But Davidic or Hebraic dancing is different. It is performed as an act of worship, for individual dancers but also for the observers. It is danced primarily for the glory of God.
